Our art department, directed by Arthur Hochstein, always impresses us with its ability to make stories visually interesting. This week we'd like to recognize two of its stars:

JOE ZEFF, a deputy art director, has been a driving force in combining great visual art with useful charts and graphics that help convey complex information. This week he designed our cover package, the first installment of a series on corporate welfare.
