Gerhard Schroder loves New York. His wife Doris, 35, a former radio journalist whom he married last fall, loves it even more, having lived in Manhattan as a single working mom in the early '90s. "In fact, my seven-year-old stepdaughter Clara is an American, because she was born in the U.S.," Schroder bragged to friends at a political bash in Hanover.
