Jordan disobeyed the Guardians and used his power ring for personal business, attempting to resurrect his hometown after its destruction by an alien. Ignoring demands to give back the ring, Jordan turned villain last month and was dismissed. A new Green Lantern, Kyle Rayner, will be appointed in coming weeks.
