Bionic Bo

Two years ago, he was on crutches. But as he proved last week, Bo Jackson has * been doing more than making commercials since his hip-replacement surgery last year. When the Chicago White Sox decided to keep him on for the 1993 season, it marked a milestone on the comeback road for the former two-sport superstar, who trained relentlessly to get his new hip in shape. Says Bo: "I never doubted myself." Nor did his fans, who knew Bo had mettle even before the aluminum hip.
