A 28-year-old postmortem offers fresh evidence on J.F.K.

CONSPIRACY BUFFS HAVE MADE MUCH OF THE FACT that the pathologists who performed the autopsy on President Kennedy never discussed their findings, except with House investigators and the Warren Commission. Last week the doctors broke their silence, reasserting publicly that they believe J.F.K. was shot by a lone gunman from the rear. Their belated postmortem report will not end the debate, but those who believe otherwise now have to contend with the detailed description of a "beveled" hole punched in Kennedy's skull that could have been made only by a bullet coming from above and behind.
