Edward Kennedy last week announced for another six-year term as Senator
from Massachusetts. On the basis of a Louis Harris poll, Kennedy seemed
wise to disavow any presidential ambitions for '72. By 55% to 33%,
those surveyed agreed that on Chappaquiddick "he panicked in a crisis
and should not be given high public trust, such as being President."
