Died. George Sanders, 65, cynical, sinister film smoothie for more than three decades; by his own hand (sleeping pills); in Castelldefels, Spain. Though he began his career as a singer, Sanders moved easily into movies during the '30s and was quickly typecast as the unctuous villain in such pictures as Lloyds of London and The Picture of Dorian Gray.
