Speaker of the House John W. McCormack, 43 years a Congressman, is retiring to Boston, to sort through his PRESS papers and write his memoirs. Last week his colleagues voted $55,400 worth of public funds to help smooth his re-entry into private life. The money, to be spent over two years, will allow McCormack to keep his office in Boston's Federal Building, make telephone calls, write letters on $3,000 worth of stationery each year.
