Out of the bullpen strode little (5 ft. 8 in., 155 Ibs.) Elroy Leon Face, and suddenly the crowd at Pittsburgh's Forbes Field knew everything would be all right. It was. Face shackled Giant batters for three innings, and the Pirates won in the eleventh, 12-9.
