Mexico City's riproaring El Universal Gráfico ripped into a juicy
medical scandal. Physicians assigned to make premarital blood tests
were drawing out more than enough for the tests and were selling the
extra amount (sometimes as much as a pint) at high prices. Roared the
Gráfico: "These vampires are sucking the blood of Mexican men,
robbing them of their strength just when they need it most."
