¶ Dark red veterinary petrolatum took first place with scientists as a sunburn lotion. Called in by the Army to test suntan preparations for marooned sailors and airmen, G.E. tested 13, turned thumbs down on some of the more highly advertised, water-soluble products. Also recommended: phenyl salicylate.
