Once again he twitted Congressman Dies with a challenge he had made before: "I will eat on the Treasury steps any subversive organization to which Mr. Dies proves I ever belonged. Try again, Mr. Dies."
†An economic fad of 1931-32. Its thesis: technological unemployment had produced the Depression, which could not be cured until the control of production was in the hands of technicians.
