Sulfanilamide, a dye introduced to U. S. pharmacologists last year under the trade names "Prontosil" and "Prontylin," has been found effective in blood poisoning, gonorrhea, childbed fever, erysipelas, cerebrospinal meningitis and other bacterial diseases (TIME, Dec. 28, et seq.).
