Inexcusable Innuendos

Sirs:

In the Aug. 2 issue of TIME your foreign editor is guilty, if not of deliberate misrepresentation, at least of sly disrespect which is resented not only by the Spanish people but American citizens interested in the Spanish Cause.

You refer to the Spanish embassy of the Spanish Republic as the "embassy of the Spanish Leftists," though you are well aware that there is only one Spanish Ambassador accepted by the United States Government as the duly accredited representative of the Spanish Republic.
