It cost Chattanooga, Tenn. $25,000 to entertain the 700 oldsters who attended the annual reunion of the United Confederate Veterans last year. Last week U. C. V.'s 1935 reunion city, St. Petersburg, Fla., decided that the cost was too great, withdrew its invitation. Only three other Southern towns wanted the veterans and all were too small.
