"Our Black Shirts in Umbria presented to King Boris of Bulgaria on the occasion of his marriage [to Princess Giovanna of Italy] a simple, brightly polished dagger, taken from the regular arms depot of the Fascist Militia. How full of symbolical significance is this severe and lofty gift!"
