Out of receivership, into bankruptcy court went funny Judge last week with its $500,000 debts (TIME, March 14). Also in court appeared Publisher Clair Maxwell of Life, Publisher George T. Delacorte Jr. of Ballyhoo and a half-dozen lawyers representing unknown clients to bid for the purchase of the magazine. None of them got it. Instead the staff of Judge, headed by Publisher Fred L.
