John Erskine, Columbia University professor, musician, novelist (The Private Life of Helen of Troy, Galahad, Adam and Eve). Reason: Prohibition.

William Mitchell, onetime stormy petrel of U. S. aviation. Reason: "President Coolidge has been handling the government...for a small group interested primarily in their own well-being."

Mrs. Mary Harriman Rumsey, Republican daughter of the late E. H. Harriman. Reason: the Smith record as governor, Prohibition.
