The retail outlook for the coming Christmas is bright. Moreover unlike the famous "silk shirt" Christmas of 1919, the buying promises to extend to many sorts of articles, instead of simply to luxury products. Most of this cheerful outlook is based on present conditions of high employment and high wages.
