Throughout all the Russia that is really Bolshevik, arrangements proceeded to hold a grave mourning week for departed Comrade Nikolai Lenin who died a year ago (TIME, Jan. 28).
The week was to be spent mainly in securing recruits to the Bolshevik ranks. Lenin's jet-black tomb in Red Square, Moscow, was to be visited by all true Bolshies, and everywhere was to be proclaimed the principles for which the dead Red leader lived and died.
