In a TIME interview, Sadat tells how and why he decided to visit Israel
In Cairo last February, President Sadat told TIME Chief of Correspondents Murray Gart and Cairo Bureau Chief Wilton Wynn that he would not meet with any Israeli leader "as long as there is an Israeli soldier on my land."
