FATHER SENIOR OFFICIAL. FAMILY RESPECTABLE AND HIGHLY CONNECTED. If the "legally divorced" line discouraged bachelor readers, they could scan hundreds of other announcements in the Times's nine columns of "matrimonial" ads.
