The Rev. Charles Davis is England's leading Roman Catholic theologian. A peritus (expert) at the Second Vatican Council, he has been editor of the Clergy Review, a provocative intellectual monthly aimed at priests, professor of theology at Jesuit-run Heythrop College, Oxfordshire, and has written several well-reviewed theological tomes.
