Year in, year out, the Bible is the world's bestselling book. Latest proof of its enduring attraction comes from the American Bible Society, which last week announced that its own English translation of the New Testament has sold 9,300,000 copies since it was published 17 months ago. Orders are still coming in at the rate of 13,000 a day.
