Polls: How They Say It's Going

What with the performances turned in by political polls this year, there is widespread skepticism about their findings. But they're interesting. This week the Gallup poll reported that President Johnson is the choice of 59% of the "likely voters" across the country, with 31% backing Barry Goldwater and 10% undecided. In the East, Johnson led with 70% to Goldwater's 19%, in the Midwest with 59% to Goldwater's 30% .
