Passed (381-20) by the House of Representatives and sent to the Senate last week: a four-year extension of the military draft, strongly backed by the Eisenhower Administration and the House Democratic and Republican leadership. A serious attempt to limit the extension to two years was made by Iowa's freshman Democrat Leonard Wolf, 33, backed by a large group of young Congressmen, including many first-termers.
