HIGH FASHION: A Little Bit Monsterish

The extremes that Paris dreams up are not the bulk of what Paris turns out. But the excitement over the new 1958 fashions last week was all about the extremes: long, telescopic dresses, tubular coats, enormous, helmetlike fur hats.
