Home Economics Taking stock of its budget, Yale University last week ordered a minor touch of austerity. Beginning next fall, there will be fewer campus guards around, and no maids at all. Yale students, who have been making their own beds since World War II, will do their own sweeping and dusting, too, for an estimated saving to the university of $160,000 a year.
