With 20th century technology at their command, U.S. fighting men have nearly succeeded in achieving the degree of invulnerability enjoyed by 14th century knights. Armored vests capable of deflecting almost any small missile except high velocity bullets have saved the lives of hundreds of G.I.s and marines in Korea.
