World Battlefronts: A Bath for Stanlius

British troops in France captured seven enemy soldiers in a dugout. On one of them the German uniform hung limply. He was very small, very dirty and very frightened.

He cheered up when he was given a delousing bath, dusted himself happily with insecticide powder. He said that his name was Stanlius; that he was the stepson of a Russian fighting with the Germans; that he had never shot anybody; and that he was ten years old.
