Religion: Churches and the Peace

Should the Churches have a say in the peace? From Protestants, Catholics, Jews and people of no faith at all, University of Denver's National Opinion Research Center got a nationwide answer: 63% think that peace planning is a legitimate function of the Churches; 33% think the Churches have no business meddling in the matter; 4% don't know. The strongest backing came from Protestants, Southerners, women, the underprivileged. More people in the upper economic and educational groups believe that peace planning is not the work of the Church.
