Midwestern motorists (see cut) had their A-card rations squeezed from four gallons to three this week, but no quick relief came to Eastern motorists. Instead, OPA General Manager Chester Bowles told Easterners they'd have to be good for another two weeks, until reserves are built up. Then there might be two more quarts a week for their gas tanks.
