women in industry. To avoid a truck, a bus full of shipyard workers
ground to a sudden teeth-jolting stop. Instead of yelling at their
driver, in line with the time-honored practice of bus riders, the
passengers jumped out, bawled the devil out of the truck driver for
getting in the way of their girl chauffeur.
