Attempting to leave Russia last week, the mistress of a U. S. cat named Fluff was sternly reminded by Red guards: "The exportation of cats is forbidden without special permission of the State Fur Trust."

"But I brought Fluff to Moscow with me from America! I am not exporting a cat. I am taking Fluff home!"

"Perhaps, but a cat is a fur-bearing animal and the export of fur is a State monopoly."
