The Press: More Necks?

Last year White House newshounds took Franklin Roosevelt to task for granting New York Timesman Arthur Krock an exclusive interview. Meekly the President put his "head on the block," promised it wouldn't happen again. Last week the Times's Anne O'Hare McCormick again broke into the White House manger, carried off another exclusive interview running to three and a half Sunday Magazine pages. Growled Earl Godwin, president of the White House Correspondents' Association: "I wonder how many necks the President has?"
