CONGRESS: The Senate Week Jun. 11, 1928

Work Done. Last week, the U. S. Senators :

¶ Sat through an all-night filibuster on the Boulder Dam bill; laid it over as first unfinished business of the Senate next session (see below).

¶Passed a resolution instructing the Secretary of the Interior to have the Boulder Dam project surveyed anew and report next autumn; sent the resolution to the House.

¶ Passed a resolution instructing the Senate's campaign funds investigating committee to review the handling of Cuban sugar by the U. S. Food Administrator (now Candidate Hoover) during the War.

¶Adjourned sine die (see col. 2).
