Religion: Negroes

Out of 12,000,000 Negroes in the U.S., one-half are not church members; in the North nearly two-thirds join not the Christian flock. Figures, published last week by Rev. Harold M. Kingsley, director of Negro work in the North for the Congregational Church Extension Board, are significant:
