TIME INC. established its first Japanese officea small news bureauin bomb-devastated Tokyo shortly after the end of World War II. Since then, our expansion has paralleled Japan's rapid economic growth. Now we are happy to report the completion of a 15-story office building in the city's bustling Otemachi district. It is the sixth building in the world and the first in Asia to bear the Time & Life name. The dedication was in the Japanese fashion, with Shinto priests conducting traditional ceremonies to expel evil spirits.
