    To make sure they were not dealing with a local phenomenon, the Harvard researchers checked the ages of new Parkinson patients in New York City, Buenos Aires, Leeds (England) and Kassel (Germany). Data from all points neatly fitted their optimistic theory that Parkinson's, now the second commonest U.S. nervous disease (after the epileptic disorders), will slip back into relative obscurity as the last victims of encephalitis lethargica die off.
