Democrats: Frolic on the Far Left

Amid all the din about the radical right, it sometimes seems as though there no longer is such a thing as a far left in U.S. politics.

But there is— a fact demonstrated by 250 delegates of the California Federation of Young Democrats, who met in convention at San Diego. They came up with a set of resolutions urging that the U.S. should: 1) recognize East Germany and "the existing status quo of a divided Germany; 2) reopen normal diplomatic and trade relations with Castro's Communist Cuba; 3) open diplomatic relations with Red China; and 4) denounce the Diem government...
