Education: More from Ford

Three months ago, the prodigious Ford Foundation gave $9,161,210 to nine colleges and universities to improve teacher training (TIME. April 6). Last week Ford gave again: $6,317,000 to ten other institutions, all for the sake of seeding the nation with more competent pedagogues than those now available. Last week's beneficiaries: Bucknell University. Central Michigan College, Cornell University, Johns Hopkins University, New York University. University of North Carolina.
