From his home at Libertyville, Ill. ailing Adlai Stevenson last week scratched out a note to ailing Democratic Senate Leader Lyndon Johnson at the National Naval Medical Center at Bethesda, Md.: "Dear Lyndon: I am sitting on my little farm recuperating from bronchial pneumonia. They are making hay out here. But now the tractor has broken down; the hay truck is broken down; the hay wagon has collapsed, dumping 50 bales of hay in the middle...
