"No labor-management relations legislative program today," said the President of the U.S., "can ignore the disclosures of corruption, racketeering and abuse of trust and power in the labor-management field." So saying Dwight Eisenhower last week sent Congress a labor message calling for the most drastic legislation since the Taft-Hartley law to safeguard "the rights of individual workers, the public and management and unions in labor-management relations."
