AUTOS Oldsmobility
For its 1958 cars, OIdsmobile boasted of a dashboard transistor radio that could be taken out and used as a portable. Last week Oldsmobile sadly admitted that it was too portable. Across the U.S. the radios were being stolen at a fast clip as owners forgot to lock them in. Olds promptly devised a tougher dashboard lock and anti-jimmying device, which it will install on its cars from now on.
