WESTERN EUROPE: Rites of Spring

One of the familiar rites of spring in Western Europe is the general election. Last week millions of Europeans in three countries, two of them free and the third restless under paternalism, cast their ballots. Results:

<J In Sweden Tage Erlander's Socialists, who have dominated Swedish politics for 25 years, returned to power with a limited mandate. The nation's 4,000,000 ballots were split evenly for and against them.
