Last week the Organization for European Economic Cooperation reported that in the first half of 1955, men and marks of the Federal Republic pushed their country's rate of industrial production to the highest peak in German history, higher than any other European nation's, 17% above last year's record level, and nearly double what the same area turned out in 1936.
