Radio: The Press v. Broadcasters

Across the nation last week, newspapers were reviving a 20-year-old feud with broadcasters. Nashville's Banner and Tennessean made front-page announcements that thenceforth they would print radio & TV program listings only in paid advertisements. They were joined by five other newspaper publishers in Oklahoma City and Chico, Calif. The trade journal Editor & Publisher found "a good deal of logic" in their position.
