Last week the House voted 329-36 to set up an Air Force academy, a "West Point of the Air," but did not decide where to put it, or how much to spend on it. Possible locations: Colorado Springs, St. Louis, Marysville (Calif.), Madison (Ind.), Charlotte (N.C.), or somewhere in Texas—the Dallas-Fort Worth area, Randolph Field, or near the Oklahoma border. Minimum cost: $125 million.
