POLITICAL NOTES: Editorial Comment

At its convention in San Francisco last week, the Associated Press Managing Editors Association polled its members on 1952's presidential prospects. Results:

Harry Truman will be the Democratic nominee (115-7).

Senator Robert A. Taft will win the Republican nomination over General Dwight Eisenhower (75-41).

Truman can defeat Taft (91-32).

But Eisenhower, if nominated by the Republicans, could defeat Truman (105-13).
