The Philippines last week offered to send immediately to Korea, for service under the U.N. flag, a regiment of 5,000 combat infantry. That made No. 9 on the list of U.N. members who had sent or offered to send troops. The other eight: the U.S., Britain, Nationalist China, Siam, Australia, Turkey, New Zealand, Canada.
